about
Cindy: “Doula services are a luxury. Most women can’t afford them where I grew up. So giving back and showing that every woman deserves a doula and that support in that space… Knowing that I have a skill, and there’s a skill out there--Oh yeah. I’m gonna promote that, push that, be that for the women in my community.”
Nikita: “That’s basically how both of us feel, too, because when you think about the numbers and then you think about the women that are your next door neighbors and your friends, and they’re having these same horrible birth stories, and nobody’s there. Then it’s like, ok, you know what, it’s my job. No, it’s not my job--it’s my passion to be there.”
