"Many providers, they kind of compartmentalize. So it is not personal at all. It's just a task. But I don't look at patients as a task. They are people. They are human. There is a connectivity in that room. I think it's part of the reason that you get to see her sister, that she refers her mother to you, and her aunt. And that one day you're taking care of that baby that you caught in your hands 20 years before ... that is the extension of that relationship, because there is trust, that if this person can take care of me, and can care enough with this relationship, I can refer these people who are very dear to me. This says to me, I can send you an invitation to my THIRD wedding (laughs)."
